test #2. an attempt to add an image to the post

1) clicking on media manager… now, an attempt to upload a *.jpeg file.

… oops! failure….

2) the first problem:  vivaldi’s media manager informs me that *.jpeg files are not on the list of allowed file types.

ok,  it means I’ll have to convert the image to, say, *.png.

running  PhotoScape Editor…  ready… steady… go!

3) conversion is over. well, well, ready for the second attempt…

i’ve done it!

happily the file size does not exceed 2Mb, othervise..

So, the procedure of uploading images and inserting them into the posts seems to be much less user-friendly than it was in “My Opera” blogs, the platform from which a number of new users have migrated here. Anyway,  vivaldi still seems to be a promissing solution for the “refugees from My Opera”. 🙂

  1. the first attempt (pasting the direct link) was a kind of success.
the second one (using a code INTERACTIVE TEXT ) was a complete failure

  2. 🙂 it’s high time I added an image to a comment. Found a picture to do with global warming (we really have not had any snow here, in the borth-west of russia, just some greenish grass and t=+5C – +7C) or a sort of snowman of colour… Will the button “Picture” do? OOOOOOppsss… Oh, I didn’t remember to copy the image address…
    here it is … done…
now that I have it … START!

3. an attempt to insert an ANIMATED image into the comment box.

  5. a failure 🙁
It looks as if the height is not supposed to exceed the width more than twice ….
…is there anywhere to find a list of allowed image features? all I found out was the maximum size of 2 MB.
    no, nothing handy

    well, another gif animation
